Todd Park joined the Health and Human Services Department as chief technology officer in August 2009. He is the former co-founder and board director of AthenaHealth, a practice-management company. Prior to his position at AthenaHealth, Park was a healthcare-management consultant with Booz Allen and Hamilton.
Park’s current duties include reporting to Deputy Secretary of Health and Human Services William Corr and working with HHS leadership and agencies across the department to improve the health of Americans. He has also served a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress, where he focused on health IT and health reform policy, and as senior health care adviser to Ashoka, where he helped start a venture to bring affordable telehealth, drugs, diagnostics, and clean water to rural India.
Park earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from Harvard College.
