HR Vet Jeff Pon to Be Nominated as OPM Director

Jeff T.H. Pon

Jeff T.H. Pon, chief human resources and strategy officer at the Society for Human Resource Management, will be nominated to fill the director position at the Office of Personnel Management.

He previously served as a Booz Allen Hamilton principal focused on HR, information technology and change management consulting services, the White House said Saturday.

Pon also held the role of chief operating officer at Futures Inc., a technology company that aims to help transitioning military personnel explore and find civilian job opportunities.

His government career has included positions such as deputy director of eGovernment at OPM and chief human capital officer at the Energy Department.

The White House announced Trump’s planned nomination of Pon a month after George Nesterczuk withdrew from consideration to be the next OPM director.
