3 mins read

Accenture has announced its acquisition of Icon Integration, a privately held Australian technology consultancy that provides SAP digital supply chain solutions and services and specialized business intelligence (BI) solutions, to improve Accenture’s growing technology initiatives and number of SAP professionals in the region, Accenture reported on Tuesday.

“Combined, Accenture and Icon Integration offer a unique proposition to help clients realize tangible business benefits from their technology investments. This acquisition supports our strategic growth objectives to meet rising demand for technology solutions by SAP users. We welcome Icon Integration’s team and clients to our practice,” said Scott Hahn, head of Accenture’s Technology practice in Australia and New Zealand.

Icon Integration, consisting of 70 employees in Australia and New Zealand, works with some of the regions’ largest retail, consumer goods and government organisations. With the acquisition, Accenture will gain Icon’s differentiated capabilities in supply chain execution, particularly warehouse management.

Accenture will also improve its data optimisation, as well as designing, developing and delivering bespoke enterprise technology solutions that help clients improve business performance and operational efficiencies with the purchase.

“We are excited by the opportunity to join forces with Accenture and to tap into their breadth of capabilities and specialisations that will significantly build on the success we have achieved in our business to date,” said Paul Roddis, co-founder and co-managing director at Icon Integration.

This transaction follows other acquisitions by Accenture in Australia over the past 12 months, including Analytics8 in Aug. 2019. The acquisition transaction strengthens Accenture’s capabilities to deliver AI-powered data and advanced analytics services to clients across Australia and New Zealand.

“We formally welcome the Analytics8 team to Accenture and look forward to pooling our expertise to deliver services to clients which help them achieve more with their data as they accelerate their digital transformation journeys,” said Amit Bansal, who leads Accenture’s analytics and artificial intelligence business in Australia and New Zealand.
