Lumen Technologies, leading federal IT services contractor, has promoted its former Senior Director of Federal Sales, Jason Schulman, to vice president of civilian and law enforcement sales.

In his new position, Schulman will report to Zain Ahmed, newly appointed senior vice president of Lumen’s public sector business.

“Jason Schulman is the right person to be leading our civilian and law enforcement business with his proven track record of continual sales and revenue growth,” Ahmed said.

Additionally, Ahmed noted that Schulman and his team have been directly responsible for Lumen’s recent key contract wins with the U.S. Postal Service and the Social Security Administration.

Throughout Schulman’s 13 years with Lumen (previously known as CenturyLink), he has held multiple directorial sales roles supporting federal government clients.

During his tenure with Lumen, he has also notably led the company’s public sector capture management, proposal management, business development and business analyst teams.

Prior to joining Lumen, Schulman held account executive positions at SAP, Exodus Communications and AT&T. He is also an alumnus of the University of Maryland.
