The Professional Services Council welcomed the signing of the 2019 Bipartisan Budget Act on Monday. David Berteau, president and CEO of PSC and 2019 Wash100 Award winner made the following statement:
“PSC has strongly advocated for congressional and executive branch actions to raise the Budget Control Act (BCA) caps for fiscal years 2020 and 2021 and deliver on-time appropriations. We applaud the enactment of this bipartisan agreement, as it is essential to timely appropriations, to full funding for all federal agencies, and to avoid the devastating impact of sequestration on the missions and functions of both defense and non-defense agencies,†Beateau explained.
“The signing of the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2019 provides Congress with the necessary starting point to avoid both. Moving forward, PSC will continue to work with the Congress to help craft and enact the FY20 appropriations bills,†he added.
