SBA Issues Potential $130M Contract Under EIS Modernization Program

The Small Business Administration has awarded a potential $130 million contract to modernize its systems as part of the Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions program, FCW reported Friday. The General Services Administration directed agencies to issue task orders under its EIS contract vehicle by Sept. 30 ahead of planned transition activities in 2023.

The Social Security Administration and Internal Revenue Service have also signed their EIS contracts with a combined total value of more than $1 billion. SBA’s award was issued last month and has a performance period that will end in 2032. Previously, GSA reported that four out of nine EIS vendors finished 90 percent of testing activities for back-office systems.
