Ian McCulloh has been chosen as Accenture Federal Services’ chief data scientist, working in its Analytics and Applied Intelligence practice, the Arlington, Va., company announced Wednesday.Previously, McCulloh was the chief scientist at the John Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory; a lecturer with the university’s Whiting School of Engineering; and an associate professor with the School of Public Health where he lectured on social network interventions. In addition, McCulloh served in the U.S. Army for 20 years.
 “We live in an age of acceleration and Dr. McCulloh’s experience using applied science to test and deploy advanced data science solutions will translate into value at scale for our federal customers,†commented Bryan Rich, head of Analytics and Applied Intelligence at AFS.
