Air Force-Hosted Industry Day Highlights Warfare RequirementsThe U.S. Air Force‘s intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance professionals briefed industry representatives on future warfare requirements during an event held Friday at a National Reconnaissance Office facility in Virginia.

The industry day featured presentations from senior airmen, lieutenants and field grade officers on topics such as artificial intelligence, threats and data aggregation, the Air Force said Tuesday.

Airmen also discussed cyber and analysis operations and requirements at the event.

Lt. Gen. Veralinn Jamieson, deputy chief of staff for ISR, said input from airmen can help the Air Force to build the force of the future, adding that the service branch needs industry to match airmen’s efforts.

“The weapons that matter most are software and data,” said Col. Jason Brown, 480th ISR wing commander.

Brown added that airmen build applications as part of efforts to address mission challenges and adapt to current frameworks.

At the event, Air Force ISR leaders emphasized the importance of collaboration and experimentation while drawing from the National Defense Strategy.

The service branch also offered a preview of its ISR Dominance flight plan slated for release in the spring.
