Kevin Zerrusen, former managing director for Goldman Sachs, has been appointed senior advisor for cybersecurity policy under Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Jay Clayton, SEC said Monday. Zerrusen will oversee the agency’s collaborative efforts on cybersecurity policy, risk assessment and relationship management in his new capacity.
In his most recent role, Zerrusen managed Goldman Sachs’ risk governance, insider threat and incident management for five years. Prior to joining the company, he spent 30 years with the CIA as a senior executive where he oversaw the agency’s cyber center operations including the analysis and mitigation of foreign cyber threats.
He currently heads the Cyber Council within the Intelligence National Security Alliance, which advocates for partnerships between the public and private sectors on cybersecurity matters.
