Excella has appointed Sandy Gillespie as the company’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) to develop the company’s growth strategies, Excella announced on Tuesday.

“Sandy has a long history leading organizations to drive peak performance, diversify sales pipelines, positively impact clients, and cultivate exceptional careers for employees. I’m thrilled to add her talent to our team to help Excella achieve even greater results as we grow,” said Burton White, CEO and co-founder of Excella.

Excella has over 18 years of experience successfully leading Agile Transformations, modernizing legacy IT systems, and delivering artificial intelligence solutions to Washington D.C.’s public sectors, federal agencies and nonprofits.

In her new role, Gillespie will oversee client delivery and develop integrated growth strategies, utilizing the capabilities and workforce at Excella. She will apply Excella’s transformative technology solutions to enhance the clients’ mission.

Gillespie brings almost 30 years of executive information technology expertise and experience. Prior to joining Excella, Gillespie was the COO and executive vice president for NCI Information Systems. “Excella has a stellar brand and history of creating strategic relationships and partnerships based on extensive expertise and transformative technologies. I look forward to leveraging the momentum of our current programs and continuing to advance our delivery, and enable Excellian growth and engagement,” said Sandy Gillespie, COO, Excella.
