The Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Accreditation Body (AB) has created an online repository of contact details of consultancies and professionals that can offer assistance to contractors who want to meet the Department of Defense's (DoD) cyber readiness assessment process, Inside Defense reported Wednesday.
The CMMC-AB Marketplace currently lists 149 cybersecurity practitioners, 123 registered provider organizations and 74 provisional assessors.
Entries listed as practitioners may provide consulting services but they cannot administer assessments, the report noted. The webpage will also include information about third-party assessment organizations tasked with conducting the audits.
DoD sought public comments on its interim rule to implement an assessment methodology and CMMC framework as part of efforts to increase the security of unclassified defense supply chain data. Nov. 30th is the last day for submitting feedback on the rule.
