Dr. Jennifer Sample, who joined Accenture Federal Services’ Applied Intelligence team earlier this year as AIX Business leader for Applied and Basic Research, has been promoted to the team’s Growth and Strategy lead.
In her new position, Dr. Sample will leverage technology, scientific methods and data to assist clients in adopting and implementing AI and ML products and services at scale.
“Dr. Sample is an outstanding addition to our team and will be instrumental to the overall growth of our Applied Intelligence practice,” said Brian Rich, managing director and lead for AFS’ applied intelligence practice.
Rich added, “Dr. Sample’s expertise will be a force multiplier in driving the co-evolutionary spiral of tech, data and science, fusing advances in AI and ML.”
Dr. Sample brings over two decades of well-recognized scientific leadership to her new role within AFS. Additionally, she holds ten patents and multiple awards for her scientific research and inventions.
Before joining AFS, Dr. Sample spent 19 years as a federal and principal scientist in the Research and Development Department of John Hopkins University’s Applied Physics Laboratory, where she established and oversaw the university’s Emerging Technology, Quantum and Intelligent Systems programs.
The new growth and strategy lead received her MBA from MIT, her PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles and her B.S. in Chemistry from Pennsylvania State University.
Dr. Sample said she is passionate about her new role and looks forward to solving problems for federal government customers while “generating speed to value with minimal technical debt.”
