The Defense Department has submitted for review by the Office of Management and Budget a supplemental DoD budget request for fiscal 2017, Defense News reported Friday.Lt. Col. Eric Badger, a DoD spokesman, was quoted by Defense News as saying the department’s budget amendment material will not affect its ongoing push for the passage of a full-year appropriations package in Congress.
The House on Wednesday approved a $577.9 billion budget for DoD’s national security programs in FY 2017, up $5.2 billion from the enacted funding level a year ago.
