USCYBERCOM and the two agencies disrupted the internet access of a Russian online influence entity that disseminated false information in 2016. The intelligence community is using insights from the 2018 effort to inform decisions on the upcoming 2020 elections.
âIf there is any adversary or adversaries attempting to either influence or interfere, we are going to impose a cost on that adversary,â Nakasone stated.
