John Edwards, a two-decade Intelligence Community veteran, took over as chief information officer of CIA in February, FCW reported Wednesday.
Sean Lyngaas writes Edwards has worked on the technical operations and engineering aspect of CIA for nearly 15 years before he joined the private sector.
He previously served as a consultant for Accenture and an executive at Agilex Technologies, which Accenture’s federal services business acquired in 2015.
Edwards succeeded Doug Wolfe, who has been appointed to a new senior CIA position, the report said.
Wolfe was instrumental in the Intelligence Community’s transition to a cloud computing platform built by Amazon Web Services, Lyngaas reports.
