The Government Accountability Office is set to launch in May a web-based platform for companies to electronically file protests on federal projects.GAO said Thursday it will start to accept and review challenges to government contract awards, excluding classified information, beginning next month via the agency’s electronic bid protest docketing system.
The new system works to notify federal agencies of protest filings in real time and inform all parties about subsequent protest filings.
GAO noted it will charge a filing fee of $350 and intends to use collected funds to ensure operation and maintenance of EPDS, which can be accessed here.
The agency will also implement its updated bid protest regulations in conjunction with the online bid protest filing system’s implementation.
