Accenture has announced the new global innovation center for situational awareness in Singapore, the company reported on Tuesday. The center will help public safety organizations in Asia Pacific develop solutions and respond to threat and risk to their citizens, while maintaining clients’ trust and confidence.
“Improving situational awareness is crucial for public safety agencies to better anticipate threat, risk and harm, allowing them to respond to public safety-related incidents faster and in a more informed way,” said James Slessor, leader of Accenture Public Safety. “By responsibly using innovative technologies, these agencies can better anticipate public safety incidents, improve the safety of first responders, and deliver services to citizens and communities more effectively.”
The goal is to enable public safety organizations to make more informed decisions and deliver better service and public safety outcomes to the citizens and the communities they serve.
Accenture’s center will utilize situation awareness technologies and help develop assets to enable clients to responsibly use innovative technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), the internet of things, blockchain, augmented reality and virtual reality.
Additionally, Accenture will partner with leading technology companies, including SAS, to develop situational-awareness solutions, using AI and new analytics, to support public safety agency operations. The technology specialists will use design thinking methodologies to resolve the challenges faced by public safety agencies and transform agency data into real-time intelligence.
