"I am thrilled to welcome Marjorie to the BlackBerry family. I am confident that with her strong track record and unique blend of expertise across cybersecurity, IoT, automotive and mobility sectors, she will do an exceptional job representing us on policy and regulatory matters," said John Chen, Executive Chairman and CEO of BlackBerry.

In her new role, Dickman will be responsible for strategic oversight of the company's global government relations, regulatory affairs and public policy operations. She will also lead BlackBerry's new Corporate Government Relations and Public Policy organization.

Prior to joining BlackBerry, Dickman served with Intel Corporation in a variety of senior leadership roles between 2004 and 2020. In her most recent position, global director and associate general counsel for IoT and automated driving policy, she supervised  the global team's development and execution of government advocacy strategy to advance Intel IoT and Automated Driving roadmaps.

Dickman collaborated with Intel engineers and business partners to highlight hardware and software innovation in cybersecurity and data privacy, AI and machine learning, predictive data analytics and edge technologies, cloud computing, connectivity, such as 5G and Wi-Fi, and computer vision.

At Intel, she led negotiation and skills to develop policy and a political agenda of industry associations. Dickman also led coalition efforts and aligned industry orgs with Intel positions on innovation and competition, connected devices and automation, data privacy and security, digital assets and ownership, platforms and standards, and wireless communications.

Dickman brings significant experience in lobbying U.S. Congress, White House and Federal agencies, and managing global government affairs strategy across US, EU, China, APAC, Latin America and META to BlackBerry. Her knowledge will help influence policymakers in a cohesive manner.

Prior to Intel, Marjorie practiced law with a prominent Washington, D.C. firm, advising clients on FCC regulatory matters.

"There couldn't be a more exciting time to join BlackBerry and launch our new Corporate Government Relations and Public Policy organization," said Marjorie Dickman. "I look forward to working with governments and policymakers around the world to build upon this positive momentum.'"
