Mona Siddiqui

Mona Siddiqui, chief data officer for the Department of Health and Human Services, is stepping down from her role after three years of service within the HHS Office of the Chief Technology Officer.

NGA Awards Mojave Bridge Contracts to 7 Incumbents

Siddiqui said in a statement published Thursday that she led efforts to improve enterprise data governance and establish data science and artificial intelligence training initiatives during her tenure.

She also created a business analytics unit at HHS and worked with external stakeholders to develop strategies on data privacy, AI, anti-opioid addiction efforts and other health-related issues.

Prior to her most recent role, Siddiqui worked for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid and the White House Social and Behavioral Sciences Team.

She holds an MD from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and master’s degrees in quantitative methods from the Harvard School of Public Health as well as management and technology from the Stanford School of Engineering.
